Día Nacional de Cabildeo, Sep 26, 2001. 

La Coalicion Nacional por Dignidad y Amnistia decidió tener un Día Nacional de Cabildeo en Washington, DC, el 26 de Septiembre 2001, enfocándose a aquellos Congresistas y Senadores que no han firmado como Co-patrocinadores de la propuesta de ley HR500, la cual daría una gradual Amnistía o Residencia Permanente para todos los imigrantes indocumentados. Todas las organizaciones, Sindicatos, e Iglesias enviarán miles de representantes de todos los estados donde la Coalición Nacional está coordinando el esfuerzo por una Amnistía General para todos los inmigrantes indocumentados en los Estados Unidos. Muchas otras organizaciones, sindicatos e iglesias nacionales de disintas denominaciones estarán respaldando esta movilización y enviaran también a sus representantes.

National Lobbying on September 26th.

The National Coalition for Dignity and Amnesty decided to have National Lobbying Day in Washington, DC. on September 26th, 2001 targeting those Congressmen and Senators who are not signed as co-sponsors of the Bill HR500, which will give gradual Amnesty or Permanent Residency for all undocumented immigrants . All organizations, unions, and churches will send thousands of representatives from all the States where the National Coalition is coordinating the effort for a General Amnesty for all undocumented immigrants in the United States. Many other national organizations, unions, and churches of different denominations are endorsing this mobilization and they will also send their representatives.

En contra del Programa de Trabajadores Huespedes. 

Todos los miembros de la Coalición Nacional por dignidad y Amnistía tendrán diferentes acciones en sus propios estados para exigir que sean consultados los inmigrantes indocumentados que serán afectados por las negociaciones para un Programa de Trabajadores Huéspedes entre México y los Estados Unidos. De acuerdo a los comentarios de los Presidentes Bush y Fox, seria posible que implementen el Programa de Trabajadores Huéspedes propuesto por el Senador Phil Gramm (R-TX). Se espera que a través de este programa todos los Mexicanos quienes ya están en los Estados Unidos como inmigrantes indocumentados serán legalizados como Trabajadores Huéspedes, y se eliminaría la posibilidad de obtener su residencia permanente. Esta legalización involucraría primero a los Mexicanos y después a otros grupos grandes de indocumentados de otras nacionalidades. La Coalición Nacional considera este programa como una legalización de contratos de esclavitud. También serán un ataque al proyecto de Amnistia y se opondrá a la sindicalización de los trabajadores. Los empleadores preferirán esclavos legales (=trabajadores huéspedes) en lugar de trabajadores indocumentados o documentados. Los trabajadores perderían su derecho a sindicalizarse y a defender sus derechos laborales pues ya vendrían con contratos específicos y con sus derechos limitados. El presidente Fox vendría alrededor de Sep 5, 2001 para firmar este contrato de esclavitud. La Coalición Nacional por Dignidad y Amnistía está proponiendo su Proyecto de Ley para una Residencia Temporal para aquellos trabajadores que quieren venir, y Residencia Permanente para los que ya están trabajando en los Estados Unidos.

Against Guest Worker Program.

All members of the National Coalition for Dignity and Amnesty will have different actions in their own states to demand that to those undocumented immigrants who will be affected for the negotiations of a Guest Worker Program between Mexico and United States will be consulted. According to the comments from Presidents Bush and Fox, it could be possible that they will implement the Guest Worker Program proposed for Senator Phil Gramm (R-TX). It is expected that through this program most Mexican who are already in the United States as undocumented immigrants will be legalized as Guest Workers, and eliminate the possibility of getting their permanent residency. This legalization will first involve Mexicans and later other big groups of undocumented immigrants from other nations. The National Coalition considers this program as legalization of slavery contract. It will be also an attack to the Amnesty Project and will oppose to unionize workers. Employers will prefer legal slaves (=guest workers) instead of undocumented of documented workers. They will loose their right to be unionized or to defend their labor rights because they will come with specific contract and limited rights. President Fox would come around September 5th, 2001, to sign this slavery contract. The National Coalition for Dignity and Amnesty is proposing the Program for Temporary Residency for those migrant workers who want to come, and Permanent Residency for those immigrants who are already in the United States.
