ASOCIACION TEPEYAC DE NEW YORK/ 251 West 14th Street/

New York, NY / 212 633 7108
All volunteers are always welcome to help.

ESL PROGRAM

Asociacion Tepeyac needs people who want to teach English. People who are interested to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) should be professionals, or at least they have to be College students, regardless the professional field.

ESL Program Coordinators

Those who are ESL professionals may be encouraged to make a commitment as volunteers to become at least six months ESL Program Coordinator.

Tepeyac offers to them a free Spanish course during those six months, to be able to provide a better attention to their students.

We need three ESL Program Coordinators: Morning coordinator, from 10 am to 1 pm; Evening  coordinator 6 to 9 pm, and Saturday coordinator  9 am to 2 pm. Being bilingual english/spanish makes easier and efficient this service.

ESL Teachers
For those who want to be ESL teachers, the requirement is to make at least 10 weeks commitment, to teach four hours a week. We have classes during the week, from 11 am to 1 pm, or from 7 to 9 pm. Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm.  We teach twice a week during the week Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday.  Saturday session is only once a week.  Spanish language is not a requirement.
Volunteers should have an interview with the English Program Coordinator or the Executive Director.  Call to Asociacion Tepeyac to make an appointment.

GRANT WRITERS

We need grant writers who are able to work in their home and keep in touch with the Executive Director to develop all proposals, after few meetings in site to understand the context and goals.
