We have stopped here, in Washington, DC, to encourage both political parties, Congressmen, Senators, and President George Bush, to better this HR 2899, and based on this bill, achieve a new and visionary immigration law, adequate for the future of the US. We challenge you to work for a new immigration law before the Presidential election of 2004. At this point we are neither Republicans nor Democrats. We still do not have the right to vote, but some of our children are already able to vote for the political party which makes more efforts to get Permanent Residency for their parents, brothers and sisters. All voters need to know the truth: The US needs other millions of immigrant workers. The American population is growing older. The Baby Boomers are retiring and leaving in their wake a number of jobs needing to be filled. Job projections for the next 10-15 years show available worker numbers are declining drastically. Therefore the Social Security fund will decline too. A new immigration system must be developed to prevent future worker shortages. Los votantes necesitan saber la verdad: Los E.E.U.U. necesitan other millones de trabajadores inmigrantes. La población americana se está haciendo más vieja. Los Baby Boomers se están jubilando y deja en su estela un número de trabajos que necesitan ser llenados. We are getting voters, immigrants, community organizations, churches, priests, bishops, community leaders, city council members, mayors, artists, athletes, etc., to support the House Resolution 2899. Los Estados Unidos necesitan un nuevo sistema de inmigración para hacer real la reunificación familiar y parar esta situación inhumana e inmoral de explotación, sufrimiento y muerte.
