Pre-Registration

Pre-registration is the best way to ensure that a training center will open near to one’s home. For a training center to open, there must be a minimum of 40 children, a facility and a group of interested parents who will launch the training center. In the first phase, there will only be 5 training centers, given the lack of qualified coaches. Pre-register to ensure that a center will open near your home and that parents can begin to organize in order to bring a trained coach. The Director of the Camp, from Club Chivas, will, in the beginning, conduct intensive training with those who already have worked with the Tepeyac Association to open this camp as well as with any centers that already have 40 children pre-registered.

Pre-registration is free of charge and if the number of pre-registrations in a given neighborhood is greater than 40, a Training Center will open there. Pre-registration can be done by a group of parents from any member organization of the Tepeyac Association.

Pre-registration is required in order to have the possibility to register and to continue paying monthly tuition.

Registration

Parents will be called to register who have pre-registered for a training center that has reached a minimum of 40 pre-registrations.

Registrations must be completed in person by parents in the central offices of Tepeyac Association.

Registration for 12 weeks is $50 and the monthly tuition is also $50 per child. Parents who are members of Tepeyac Association and have an active membership card will receive a 50% discount.

To register, a deposit of $25 is required along with two months’ tuition, the child’s original birth certificate (of which a photocopy will be made). The child must accompany parent(s) to registration to have a photograph taken and an ID made.

The basic requirements for registration are:

 1) A good grade-point average in school.

2) A commitment on the part of the parents to the integrated education of their children and to participate in the activities organized by the soccer camp.

 About the Coaches

The Soccer camp also seeks the development of the parents and youth 16 years and older to become trained as coaches and referees of soccer.

The training of coaches will be on Saturdays, sometimes in day-long sessions.

Coaches will be sought and hired among those who have already taken summer courses organized by Tepeyac Association and have worked as volunteers in the founding and development of the soccer camp. These coaches will continue to undergo training in courses and in practice in each Training Center.

Registration for coaches and referees is $200 and the tuition is $200 for each 12-week course. Those with an active membership in Tepeyac Association will receive a 50% discount. Those who volunteer as coaches’ assistants at least 9 hours per week can attend the courses for free.
